SEC Reporting Manager

A leading asset management firm is seeking an SEC Reporting Manager to join its growing finance and accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Big 4 or public accounting professional looking to transition into industry, or an experienced SEC reporting professional interested in joining a sophisticated investment platform.
Responsibilities- Manage the preparation and review of SEC filings
, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K and other required filings - Coordinate the quarterly and annual external reporting process and ensure compliance with SEC and U.S. GAAP requirements
- Prepare and review financial statements, footnotes and supporting disclosure documentation
- Research and evaluate technical accounting and SEC reporting matters
- Monitor new accounting standards and SEC regulations and assess their impact on the organization
- Partner with Corporate Accounting, FP&A, Legal, Tax, Investor Relations and other internal teams
- Coordinate with external auditors throughout quarterly reviews and the annual audit
- Support process improvements, reporting automation and enhancements to internal controls
- Assist with special projects and transactions as the organization continues to grow
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA strongly preferred
- Approximately 5-10+ years of accounting and/or financial reporting experience
- Big 4 or other large public accounting experience highly preferred
- Experience auditing or working with public companies, asset managers, investment firms or other financial services organizations
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
- Experience with 10-K and 10-Q filings and financial statement preparation
- Strong technical accounting, analytical and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
