SEC Reporting Manager
- Asset Management
- Boston

A leading asset management firm is seeking an SEC Reporting Manager to join its growing finance and accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Big 4 or public accounting professional looking to transition into industry, or an experienced SEC reporting professional interested in joining a sophisticated investment platform.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the preparation and review of SEC filings
    , including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K and other required filings
  • Coordinate the quarterly and annual external reporting process and ensure compliance with SEC and U.S. GAAP requirements
  • Prepare and review financial statements, footnotes and supporting disclosure documentation
  • Research and evaluate technical accounting and SEC reporting matters
  • Monitor new accounting standards and SEC regulations and assess their impact on the organization
  • Partner with Corporate Accounting, FP&A, Legal, Tax, Investor Relations and other internal teams
  • Coordinate with external auditors throughout quarterly reviews and the annual audit
  • Support process improvements, reporting automation and enhancements to internal controls
  • Assist with special projects and transactions as the organization continues to grow
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
  • CPA strongly preferred
  • Approximately 5-10+ years of accounting and/or financial reporting experience
  • Big 4 or other large public accounting experience highly preferred
  • Experience auditing or working with public companies, asset managers, investment firms or other financial services organizations
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
  • Experience with 10-K and 10-Q filings and financial statement preparation
  • Strong technical accounting, analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
