Staff Accountant

Location: Waltham, MA (Hybrid, 1 Day Remote After Onboarding)
Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 + Up to 5% Bonus

CFS is partnering with a rapidly growing healthcare organization seeking a Staff Accountant to join its expanding finance team. This Staff Accountant opportunity is ideal for someone with 1-3 years of public accounting and/or corporate accounting experience looking to gain exposure to a high-growth environment with strong mentorship and advancement potential.

Responsibilities

The Staff Accountant will manage full-cycle accounting for an assigned portfolio of business entities.
Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
Process payroll, banking transactions, and general ledger activity.
Serve as a key accounting contact for operational stakeholders.
Assist with integrating newly acquired entities into accounting systems and processes.
Support financial reporting, process improvement projects, and automation initiatives.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
1-3 years of accounting experience in public accounting, industry, or a combination of both.
Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and month-end close processes.
Advanced Excel skills required;
Quick Books experience is a plus.
Experience with payroll and multi-entity accounting is preferred.
Highly organized professional with strong communication and analytical skills.
