- Accounting of the practice, including bank reconciliations and general ledger reviews to ensure proper revenue and expense classifications.
- Prepare budgets and revenue/expense projections.
- Analyze revenue cycle reports, including days in accounts receivable, collection percentage, payor mix, and other key metrics.
- Assist clients with cash flow management and improve operational efficiencies by benchmarking overhead costs and making recommendations.
- Work with physicians, independent contractors and mid-level providers to assess compensation, shareholder and employment agreements.
- Work with clients and third-party administrators to implement retirement plans and employee benefits.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of physician compensation models and benchmark productivity and compensation to industry standards.
- Recognize and inform management of opportunities to increase level and types of services to clients.
- Participate in department-wide initiatives aimed at continually improving processes and supporting infrastructure.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent field.
- 5+ years of experience within accounting and/or tax.
- Experience with in a public accounting firm.
- CPA certification (preferred).
- Master’s Degree in Taxation or relevant field.
For Massachusetts candidates, the expected salary range is $110,000 to $150,000.
Preferred location:
Boston, MA (also Burlington, MA).
