Senior Auditor – National CPA Firm – Boston
Location:
Boston, MA (Hybrid)
A National Public Accounting firm is actively looking to add an experienced Senior Auditor to their expanding Audit and Assurance team. Be part of an organization with a diverse client base that offers the latest technology, professional training, and top-tier benefits to its staff.
In this client-facing position, Senior Auditors will work closely with teammates and senior leaders at the firm to provide audit, assurance, and accounting services to a diverse client base.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Meet with clients regularly to coordinate and execute a range of audit and assurance activities
- Participate in the planning, fieldwork, and completion of audit engagements
- Perform substantive testing and analysis of client balance sheets, income statements, and supporting documentation
- Prepare and review financial statements, work papers, and audit documentation for accuracy and compliance with professional standards
- Assist with engagement budgets, timelines, expenses, and staff allocation
- Supervise and guide junior audit staff throughout engagements
- Identify areas of audit risk and work with senior management to develop appropriate audit procedures and recommendations
- Provide guidance toclients as it relates to audit findings, accounting standards, and best practices
- Maintain regular communication with clients and engagement teams throughout the audit process
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
- 2-3+ years of recent public accounting audit experience required
- CPA or actively pursuing CPA certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and generally accepted auditing standards
- Ability to travel up to 20-25% annually based on client and engagement needs
- Ability to work a hybrid schedule in the Boston office
Compensation:
Competitive salary range: $95,000 - $115,000 per year, commensurate with experience and certification status, plus benefits and performance incentives.
