This opportunity supports our Boston and Quincy, Massachusetts offices. The first several weeks will be primarily in office for onboarding, training, and meeting the team, followed by a flexible hybrid arrangement based on engagement needs. Some client fieldwork throughout Massachusetts is expected.
NoteCandidates must have 3+ years of audit experience within a public accounting firm and demonstrated commercial real estate audit experience. CPA certification, an active CPA license, or active progress toward CPA certification is required. Nonprofit and employee benefit plan audit experience are strong pluses.

Job Description- Manage multiple client audit engagements and projects, taking responsibility for organization, execution, deadlines, and overall engagement success.
- Develop a strong working knowledge of each client's business, operations, financial reporting, and industry considerations.
- Build trusted client relationships while gathering information, resolving issues, and communicating engagement progress.
- Prepare and review financial statements, footnote disclosures, management letter comments, and engagement work papers.
- Identify, communicate, and help resolve audit, accounting, internal control, and technical issues.
- Develop and tailor audit programs, engagement budgets, work schedules, and other engagement administration materials.
- Research and analyze financial statement and audit matters involving GAAP, auditing standards, internal controls, and complex audit procedures.
- Review engagement work papers for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with professional standards.
- Supervise, train, and mentor audit staff throughout engagements.
- Participate in recruiting, training, and professional development initiatives across the firm.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting.
- 3+ years of audit experience within a public accounting firm.
- Commercial real estate audit experience.
- CPA certification, active CPA license, or active progress toward CPA certification.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, generally accepted auditing standards, internal controls, and audit procedures.
- Strong project management, analytical, organizational, communication, and problem solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a client service environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Case Ware or comparable audit software.
- Nonprofit and employee benefit plan audit experience is preferred.
- You will have meaningful ownership of engagements while receiving support from experienced managers and firm leadership.
- You will work with interesting clients and continue developing valuable commercial real estate audit expertise.
