HoursBoth part‑time and full‑time internships are available. Part‑time internships require 20–29 hours per week; full‑time internships require a minimum of 30 hours per week, with an expectation of up to 40 hours. This opportunity is fully onsite.
OpportunityDuring your internship, you will work on investigative accounting engagements with commercial property insurers. Assignments involve evaluating physical damage and business income losses caused by catastrophes. You will review and analyze historical financial and industry information, revenue and expense projections, insurance claim evaluations, and economic damage assessments, gaining exposure to a wide range of industries from small local retail stores to multinational entities.
Qualifications- Junior or senior level student
- Accounting major
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Office, especially Excel at an intermediate or advanced level; open to training in other Windows‑based applications
- Motivated and enthusiastic, a self‑starter who learns new skills and concepts and applies them to client work
Base compensation typically ranges between $30 – $32 an hour.
