Controller, Accounting, Financial Controller

Title: Controller

Salary: $150,000–$190,000 + discretionary bonus

Location: Boston, MA (Onsite initially, transitioning to a hybrid schedule)

Controller Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and accounting staff

• Own financial reporting and general accounting activities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management

• Oversee account reconciliations, month-end and year-end activities

• Support tax, audit, and year-end reporting requirements

• Maintain strong accounting controls and ensure accurate financial reporting

• Partner closely with senior finance leadership on financial and operational matters

• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and department efficiencies

Controller Qualifications:

• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience

• Strong hands-on Controller or accounting leadership experience

• Excellent foundational accounting knowledge with the ability to operate independently

• Strong financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow experience

• Experience overseeing day-to-day accounting operations and accounting staff

• Professional services experience helpful but not required

• Must be a hands-on accounting leader with direct operational accounting ownership
