Director - Accounting Strategy

A leading publicly traded organization is seeking a Director
- Accounting Strategy to join its accounting organization. This is a high-visibility opportunity focused on technical accounting, strategic transactions, and complex accounting matters.

• Lead technical accounting analysis for complex transactions, investments, and other strategic initiatives.
• Research US GAAP and SEC requirements and prepare technical accounting memos, policies, and supporting documentation.
• Partner with Finance, Accounting, Legal, and other internal stakeholders on accounting considerations and business initiatives.
• Support SEC reporting and related disclosure requirements.
• Assist with acquisition integration and other strategic accounting projects.
• Monitor new accounting guidance and evaluate its impact on the organization.
• Support the company's SOX and internal control environment.
• Communicate technical accounting conclusions and recommendations to senior financial and non-financial stakeholders.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
• CPA required.
• 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Big 4 experience required.
• Strong technical accounting and US GAAP knowledge.
• Experience with SEC reporting and public-company accounting.
• Background in Technical Accounting/National Office, Capital Markets, transactional advisory, or complex large-cap audit strongly preferred.
• Strong analytical, research, writing, and communication skills.
• SOX/internal controls experience.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
