Our client a successful law firm, is seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant to work in their Family Law department. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, dependable, and comfortable managing priorities in a collaborative legal environment. You will work closely with attorneys and colleagues across offices, helping maintain smooth daily operations through strong communication, scheduling, and document coordination.
Locations:
Boston office OR Worcester office
Salary: $72,000 - $100,000 (depending on experience)
Schedule:
Hybrid (4 days in, 1 day remote)
Hours:
8:30am - 5:00pm
Responsibilities:
+ Coordinate and maintain attorney calendars, including scheduling appointments, meetings, court appearances, and travel arrangements
+ Draft, proofread, and format legal documents, correspondence, and reports with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
+ Support attorneys with case management by organizing, updating, and maintaining case files and related documentation
+ Prepare and process legal documents, including pleadings, motions, e-filings, and correspondence, while ensuring compliance with legal procedures and deadlines
+ Maintain electronic and physical filing systems to ensure records are accurate, organized, and easily accessible
+ Assist with billing and invoicing functions, including time entry, expense tracking, and responding to client billing inquiries
+ Provide administrative support by managing phone communications, greeting clients, and coordinating incoming and outgoing mail
+ Collaborate with and provide backup support to other legal administrative assistants as needed
+ Perform additional administrative and operational duties as assigned to support the legal team and office operations
Requirements
Responsibilities:
+ Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
+ Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting a family law practice or legal team.
+ Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize competing tasks and meet multiple deadlines.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
+ Demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality client service.
+ Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint) and experience with legal technology platforms such as Kofax Power PDF or equivalent PDF software, Big Hand Create and Hyperstyles or similar document formatting tools, and Net Documents; ability to quickly learn new systems and technologies.
+ Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information.
+ Adaptable, proactive, and eager to learn in a fast-paced and evolving work environment.
