Position OverviewWe are currently seeking a Service Intern to join the fast-growing team. They will support the LC Anderson Service Operations team by assisting with day-to-day administrative, coordination, and operational tasks. This role provides exposure to commercial HVAC/refrigeration service operations, field service management software, and customer service workflows in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Ideal for students pursuing degrees in business administration, operations management, or a related field.
Responsibilities- Assist Service Coordinators with job scheduling, dispatch support, and work order tracking in Build Ops
- Help maintain and update customer and equipment records for accuracy and completeness
- Support PMA (Planned Maintenance Agreement) reporting and documentation
- Assist with monitoring open work orders and following up on pending items
- Support CSRs with inbound service call intake and customer follow-up communications
- Assist with preparing service quotes, proposals, and client-facing documents
- Help coordinate scheduling communications between field technicians and customers
- Organize and maintain operational files, templates, and reference documents
- Assist in compiling data for scorecard metrics, service performance reports, and EOS documentation
- Support special projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned
- Participate in department L10 meetings and training sessions as a learning observer
Required:
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university program (sophomore standing or above preferred)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Preferred:
- Pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field
- Prior experience in an office, customer service, or field service environment
- Familiarity with field service management software or CRM platforms
- Interest in commercial HVAC, mechanical trades, or facilities management
This position reports to the local Field Performance & Development Manager.
