Job Summary
The Tax Assistant provides administrative assistance for the Tax Director and Accountants. The duties for this position include, but are not limited to:
Job Functions- Provide general administrative support to the Wealth Management Tax Department.
- Coordinate and monitor schedules, records, and information pertinent to the filing deadlines for all trust accounts.
- Coordinate and file all tax returns with the applicable tax authorities for the Wealth Management Tax Department.
- Manage electronic and physical filing of tax department documents, including tax notices and monthly client statements.
- Service Trustees and Account Administrators requests and inquiries, specifically providing copies of appropriate documents upon request.
- Manage portals and requests with external CPAs to process >1,500 tax payments.
- Update tax portal for payments and organize and save tax vouchers.
- Assist with processing tax refunds by verifying account information and depositing into proper accounts.
- Open, process, and distribute tax department mail.
- Maintain spreadsheet for tax notice tracking, and coordinating various departmental tasks.
- Additional duties as requested.
- Able to work proactively and independently, as well as within a team.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and prioritization.
- Uses innovative thinking and exercises sound judgment to achieve results.
- Ability to solve problems and learn quickly.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work well under pressure to meet required departmental deadlines.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Associate degree or equivalent in business administration.
- 3-5 years administrative support experience; experience in investment management or tax industry preferred.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Detail oriented, flexible, ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.

The anticipated pay range for this role is $60,000 - $80,000 and may include a discretionary bonus based on performance. The actual offered rate for this position will be determined based on job-related, non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to qualifications and experience, education, external market data and consideration of internal equity.
