Job Summary

The Tax Assistant provides administrative assistance for the Tax Director and Accountants. The duties for this position include, but are not limited to:

Job Functions
  • Provide general administrative support to the Wealth Management Tax Department.
  • Coordinate and monitor schedules, records, and information pertinent to the filing deadlines for all trust accounts.
  • Coordinate and file all tax returns with the applicable tax authorities for the Wealth Management Tax Department.
  • Manage electronic and physical filing of tax department documents, including tax notices and monthly client statements.
  • Service Trustees and Account Administrators requests and inquiries, specifically providing copies of appropriate documents upon request.
  • Manage portals and requests with external CPAs to process >1,500 tax payments.
  • Update tax portal for payments and organize and save tax vouchers.
  • Assist with processing tax refunds by verifying account information and depositing into proper accounts.
  • Open, process, and distribute tax department mail.
  • Maintain spreadsheet for tax notice tracking, and coordinating various departmental tasks.
  • Additional duties as requested.

Qualifications
  • Associate degree or equivalent in business administration.
  • 3-5 years administrative support experience; experience in investment management or tax industry preferred.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Detail oriented, flexible, ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

Compensation And Total Rewards Package

The anticipated pay range for this role is $60,000 - $80,000 and may include a discretionary bonus based on performance. The actual offered rate for this position will be determined based on job-related, non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to qualifications and experience, education, external market data and consideration of internal equity.
