Sigma Inc. is seeking a professional and customer-focused Receptionist to support the Executive Office of the Trial Court in Boston, MA. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with experience in receptionist, clerical support, front desk operations, call center support, administrative assistance, or customer service.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to handle a high volume of incoming calls while providing exceptional customer service to the public and internal staff.
Key Responsibilities Front Desk & Reception Services- Serve as the primary receptionist for the Trial Court's main phone line.
- Answer and manage a high volume of incoming calls professionally and efficiently.
- Provide general information regarding court operations and services.
- Direct callers to the appropriate departments and personnel.
- Retrieve department mail and distribute correspondence to appropriate staff.
- Maintain and update scheduling for the HR conference room.
- Assist with retrieving and updating employee file information as requested by Human Resources staff.
- Support general office administrative and clerical functions.
- Provide courteous, professional, and accurate responses to inquiries from the public.
- Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
- Ensure positive interactions with callers, visitors, and employees.
- 1–2 years of experience in a Receptionist, Front Desk, Administrative Assistant, Clerical Support, Call Center, or Customer Service role.
- Experience handling high-volume telephone communications.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced office environment.
- Proficiency with standard office equipment and Microsoft Office applications.
- Previous Human Resources (HR) support experience.
- Experience working in government, legal, court, or public-sector environments.
- Experience maintaining schedules, calendars, and employee records.
