In light of the current COVID-19 pandemic, the Student PIRGs are actively hiring for this position and welcome your applications.
We’re hiring an Administrative Assistant to help manage the behind‑the‑scenes operations for our New Voters Project, a non‑partisan voter registration and get‑out‑the‑vote campaign on college campuses across the country in Fall 2020.
As the Administrative Assistant with the Student PIRGs’ New Voters Project, your responsibilities will include:- Establishing and managing systems for tracking voter registration forms from on‑campus drives across the country
- Managing quality control to ensure accuracy of our voter registration efforts
- Training staff on compliance and administrative processes
- Analyzing data to identify trends and improve on‑the‑ground voter registration and get‑out‑the‑vote efforts
- Helping to identify and hire organizers for our nationwide efforts
The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, solid computer skills, experience with information databases, and some experience with grassroots organizing. An interest in working on a large, non‑partisan youth voter mobilization project is essential.
Duration:This position is a short‑term commitment beginning in July or August 2020 and continuing through December 2020, with a possibility of extending into 2021.
The target annual compensation is between $28,000 and $35,000, depending on location and relevant experience. The Student PIRGs offers a competitive benefits package and an excellent training program with opportunities for advancement.
Locations:Boston is preferred, but other cities will also be considered.
