Office Administrator/ Coordinator, Healthcare Administration
Labcorp is seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our team at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, MA.
Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 9am - 5:30pm.
- Provide day‑to‑day administrative support for AP leadership and staff
- Manage departmental correspondence, calendars, and scheduling of meetings and conferences
- Prepare professional documents including reports, memos, and presentations
- Coordinate logistics for departmental meetings, tumor boards, and CPC conferences
- Coordinate requests for case retrieval, including CPC and conference cases
- Facilitate communication between accessioning, histology, and pathologists to support case workflow
- Track and assist with prioritization requests as directed by leadership
- Support slide, block, and archival material retrieval processes
- Serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external inquiries to the AP department
- Triage incoming communications (phone, email, in‑person) and route appropriately
- Maintain professional interactions with physicians, OR/GI staff, and external institutions
- Maintain and organize documentation in accordance with CAP, CLIA, Lab Corp and Tufts Medical Center policies
- Support audit readiness through document tracking and record maintenance
- Assist in updating and maintaining SOPs, logs, and administrative procedures
- Assist in tracking departmental metrics, quality indicators, and action items
- Support quality initiatives, Safety Net reporting follow‑up, and process improvement efforts
- Participate in departmental huddles and administrative workflow optimization
- Maintain office supplies and coordinate service requests as needed
- Assist with onboarding documentation and administrative training records
- Support special projects and initiatives as assigned by AP leadership
- 1 year or more of administrative experience
- Associate’s in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration or related field
- 1 year of experience within pathology or laboratory operations
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills with high attention to detail
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced clinical environment
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Strong documentation and tracking capabilities
- Familiarity with laboratory information systems (LIS)
Pay Range: $20.90 - $24.30 per hour.

Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including:
Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan. Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
