Stewardship and Development Office Assistant

Purpose

Support administrative functions of the Stewardship and Development team and provide support to the Director of Stewardship and Development and the Legacy Giving team.

Responsibilities
  • Schedule meetings, take notes, and track action items.
  • Manage phone and email inquiries, redirect as needed.
  • Coordinate special projects and events, including mailing, web updates, and staffing.
  • Order supplies and handle general administrative tasks.
  • Support the Director’s calendar, travel, and meetings.
  • Enter donor and contact information into CRM.
  • Assist with legacy giving activities, including mailings, data entry, and estate gift processing.
  • Prepare marketing materials and reports related to legacy giving and scholarships.
  • Provide coverage for team members as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications
    • Ability to work independently and in teams, with project management skills.
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
    • Enthusiasm for fundraising and UU mission; experience with legacy giving helpful.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM tools, and design software like Canva.
    • Understanding of anti-racism, anti-oppression, and multiculturalism; experience with BIPOC communities preferred.
