Nursing Operation Coordinator - Emergency Department (Part-time, 24 Hours)
Boston Medical Center (BMC) seeks a part‑time Nursing Operation Coordinator to support our Adult ED. The role is full 24‑hour, day/evening shift schedule.
Position SummaryPerforms complex administrative duties, preparing and completing fiscal and administrative projects. Manages office operations: presentation prep, spreadsheets, charts, correspondence, scheduling meetings, calendar management, office inventory, supplies, minute‑taking, mail distribution, inquiries, triage/routing calls, contract database updates, new hire processing, and other personnel tasks. Serves as the resident expert on department policies & procedures.

Education- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Minimum 3 years experience in medical or healthcare institutions, ideally in academic medicine.
- Analytical ability to develop and analyze budgets and related justification.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize work, anticipate deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.
- Exemplary written and verbal communication skills; pleasant, courteous, and helpful telephone manner and professional demeanor for favorable “first impression”.
- Strong interpersonal skills to be socially perceptive in accepting, relaying, and respecting confidential information, communicating policies and procedures, and dealing with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and web browsers.
- Experience with statistical analysis tools a plus.
- Excellent record‑keeping, office organization, and computer literacy necessary for entering and manipulating statistical data, creating schedules, and maintaining detailed, accurate, and complete records of departmental activities and confidential personnel/training records.
- Ability to maintain strict protocols for all confidential or sensitive information.
$22.36 - $31.25 per hour. Base pay is determined by education, experience, skills, and certifications.
