Media Relations Coordinator

Job DescriptionCoordinates with media team, brand & engagement team, public engagement division including digital specialists, writers and designers, Oxfam International and Oxfam affiliates, various vendors and freelancers.
Purpose of the position is to provide support to Oxfam America's media and brand & engagement teams, with a focus on monitoring, evaluation, and analysis to ensure the team meets its goals. Key tasks will include monitoring, tracking, and internally disseminating media mentions of Oxfam; providing task assignment and performance feedback on media deliverables to PE intern; maintaining our media databases, including media lists of relevant contacts;
providing analysis of and updates on the team's key performance indicators (KPIs); and providing administrative support and managing relationships with key vendors as primary contact.

QualificationsEducation:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Experience and
Core Competencies:
One to three years of relevant work experience in communications and/or media relations or in an administrative/coordinator role. Proficiency with MS Office suite, notably Excel. Interest and experience in media or social media. Demonstrated capacity to see jobs to completion; to set priorities among tasks; to engage in problem solving. Accuracy and strong attention to detail. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work. Ability to work with a team that has multiple work sites.
