Skills Required
Primary (Must-Have)
- Prior front desk, receptionist, or administrative assistant experience.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience managing patient check-in and check-out processes.
- Proficiency with Epic EMR system (Required).

- Ability to manage phone calls, appointment scheduling, and patient inquiries.

Position Overview
We are seeking a professional, organized, and customer-focused Administrative Assistant (Front Desk Associate) to support the OB/GYN Unit
. This individual will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing front desk operations and administrative functions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, experienced with Epic EMR
, and thrives in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Front Desk Operations
- Greet patients, visitors, and staff in a courteous and professional manner.
- Serve as the primary point of contact at the front desk.
- Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently.
- Verify patient information and ensure accurate documentation.
- Schedule appointments and coordinate patient visits.
- Answer incoming phone calls and respond to general inquiries.
- Provide information and assistance while maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Direct patients and visitors to appropriate departments as needed.
Administrative Support
- Maintain accurate patient records using Epic EMR.
- Perform data entry and update patient information.
- Prepare and organize administrative documents and reports.
- Support clinical staff with administrative tasks as assigned.
Coordination & Communication
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Coordinate patient flow to support an efficient clinical environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and internal departments.
Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and hospital policies regarding patient privacy.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient records and sensitive information.
- Follow established administrative procedures and documentation standards.
Minimum Qualifications
- Prior front desk, receptionist, or administrative assistant experience.
- Proficiency with Epic EMR (Required).
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time management abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
