Position Overview

Part‑Time Development & Accounting Assistant for an established mission‑driven nonprofit organization. This is an exciting opportunity for an organized, detail‑oriented professional to provide essential accounting, development, and administrative support within a collaborative nonprofit environment. The Part‑Time Development & Accounting Assistant will play an important role in revenue reconciliation, financial record‑keeping, database management, donor administration, and general development operations. This temporary assignment is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in accuracy, and thrives in a small, mission‑driven environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage revenue reconciliation, donor acknowledgments, receipt processing, and related financial record‑keeping.
  • Maintain accurate donor, volunteer, financial, and development information within the organization’s database/CRM system.
  • Generate database reports, track information in Microsoft Excel, and provide administrative support for development and fundraising activities.
  • Support accounts receivable and other bookkeeping‑related functions while ensuring accurate and timely record‑keeping.
  • Assist with organizational events and communications, including mailing lists, invitations, materials, newsletters, and logistics.
  • Provide additional administrative and operational support as needed in a collaborative, multi‑hat nonprofit environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Hands‑on experience with reconciliation, bookkeeping, accounts receivable, or similar accounting support functions.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including experience tracking, organizing, and maintaining accurate data.
  • Experience maintaining records within a database or CRM system; familiarity with Raiser’s Edge is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, with strong organizational, communication, and proofreading skills.
  • A warm, professional, adaptable approach and comfort working within a small, mission‑driven organization.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

This temporary position offers an hourly pay rate of $25–$27 per hour, depending on experience, for approximately 20 hours per week. The assignment is anticipated to last approximately six months and offers a flexible hybrid schedule. Additional hours may be available during the initial onboarding and training period.
