Berklee Institute of Jazz and Gender Justice Program Assistant
Provide assistance in support of the day-to-day operations of Berklee Institute of Jazz and Gender Justice, including communications, music education, research, operations, community outreach, and special projects. This is an excellent opportunity for students interested in hands-on arts administration experience.
Essential duties and responsibilities include performing light weekly clerical duties, assisting in creating content for the BIJGJ newsletter and digital media platforms, assisting with JGJ programs, visiting artist preparation and hospitality, as well as special projects. The program assistant will work closely with the managing director and program coordinator.
Required skills and knowledge include attention to detail, strong organizational skills, excellent communication skills, good writing skills, basic research skills, dependability with a good work ethic, willingness to learn and great customer service skills. Proficiency in jazz is preferred.
