Job Overview
We are seeking a Provider Operations Specialist for an opportunity supporting healthcare provider operations, enrollment, credentialing, and revalidation activities. The ideal candidate will bring at least three years of relevant healthcare operations experience, strong documentation and validation skills, and the ability to manage detailed workflows accurately while meeting deadlines. Candidates who demonstrate strong organizational skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and experience handling provider information will be considered for an interview.
MustHaves
- 3+ years of experience in provider enrollment, credentialing, provider relations, network management, or a comparable healthcare operations function.
- Hands‑on experience managing provider records, enrollment materials, forms, or credentialing documentation.
- Strong attention to detail with demonstrated ability to validate information for accuracy and completeness.
- Excellent organization and time‑management skills with the ability to manage multiple requests and follow‑ups.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize assigned work, and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for provider outreach and document coordination.
The Provider Operations Specialist will help keep provider enrollment and documentation activities moving efficiently from initial outreach through final processing. This position will coordinate with providers and internal teams to obtain required materials, verify information, maintain accurate records, and ensure completed documentation reaches the appropriate stakeholders. The role will also contribute to workflow enhancements and automation efforts as operational processes continue to evolve.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate activities associated with provider enrollment, credentialing, and revalidation workflows.
- Distribute forms and documentation to providers for completion, signatures, and required approvals.
- Monitor outstanding requests and conduct timely follow‑up to resolve missing or incomplete materials.
- Receive, review, organize, scan, and electronically upload provider records and supporting documentation.
- Validate provider information and identify discrepancies or missing details before routing materials for processing.
- Maintain accurate tracking records and ensure documentation is directed to the appropriate operational teams.
- Prepare provider communications, forms, and other correspondence as needed.
- Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of improved workflows and automation initiatives.
- Assist with occasional provider‑related site visits and other operational activities.
- Manage incoming physical documentation, including collecting, scanning, and distributing mail during the required weekly office visit.
- Work Arrangement: Hybrid; onsite attendance is required one day per week at a designated local office.
- Weekly Onsite Responsibilities: Collect, scan, and distribute incoming provider‑related mail and documentation.
- Systems & Tools: Microsoft Excel and Word are required. Experience with Salesforce and MMIS or comparable healthcare provider platforms is preferred.
- Process Environment: The team is actively improving and automating existing workflows, so adaptability and comfort with evolving processes are important.
- Collaboration: The role involves regular interaction with providers and internal operational stakeholders while also requiring independent management of assigned tasks.
- Experience Level: Mid‑level healthcare operations professional with relevant provider‑facing documentation and enrollment experience.
