The position will be based in Methuen, MA.
Main Responsibilities- Conducts daily crew meeting to discuss safety, productivity, and accuracy.
- Communicates with Transportation on the flow and receipt of backhauls.
- Supervises scheduling of inbound load appointments.
- Responsible for, sign for, sort and distribute inbound, overnight carrier and mail service deliveries.
- Walks warehouse daily, with Superintendent, to ensure that safety, security, sanitation and pest control codes, laws, and policies and government regulations are maintained.
- Ensures the most economical and efficient use of equipment and personnel to accomplish assigned work.
- Participate in cross-functional initiatives and support other departments as needed to ensure smooth facility operations and alignment with company goals.
- Lead or assist with ad hoc projects that arise in response to evolving business needs, operational challenges, or strategic priorities.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in maintenance, sanitation, and facility operations, and contribute to the development and implementation of innovative solutions.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to support broader organizational objectives, including safety, sustainability, and efficiency.
- Demonstrate adaptability by taking on responsibilities beyond the core scope of the role when required, contributing to a dynamic and responsive work environment.
- Processes store returns and returns to vendors using proper Company policies.
- Coordinates with Inventory Control associates regarding slotting, product rotation and space allocation.
- General knowledge of shipping and warehouse operations, with prior supervisory experience preferred.
- Effective leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret computerized reports.
- Analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Basic computer proficiency: experience with word processing and spreadsheets is helpful.
Starting rates will be no less than the local minimum wage and may vary based on criteria such as location, experience, and qualifications and the terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement.
Candidates with unique qualifications may be considered for compensation above this range.
