We're partnered with an industry leading medtech organization that is seeking an Indirect Procurement Manager who will be responsible for optimizing supplier performance and spend across key indirect categories - marketing, IT, R&D, legal, and other professional services. The role supports a business that operates in a highly regulated environment and is focused on delivering critical medical technologies worldwide. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to align procurement efforts with operational goals and regulatory compliance.
They operate in a hybrid environment and the position is based in Boston, MA.
- Lead or support sourcing initiatives to achieve cost savings, enhance supplier performance, and add strategic value across indirect categories.
- Manage complex RFx processes and supplier negotiations, and ensure alignment of procurement strategies with business needs.
- Build and maintain supplier relationships to ensure quality, compliance, and innovation while mitigating risks.
- Develop category strategies through market intelligence, stakeholder engagement, and supplier assessments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on strategic projects, contract management, and supply chain initiatives to meet performance targets.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field; an advanced degree (MBA or MS) is preferred.
- At least 6 years of experience in indirect procurement or strategic sourcing, ideally within a regulated industry such as healthcare or medical technology across marketing, IT, R&D, legal, healthcare providers, capital contracts, and other professional services.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing sourcing strategies, managing contracts, and driving supplier performance.
- Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, and communication skills, with the ability to influence across functions.
- Proficiency in procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Ariba, Coupa), data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau), and digital procurement platforms.
