The

Community Investment Department

The Community Investment Department partners with businesses, local governments, and mission-driven organizations to strengthen communities and promote economic growth across the Commonwealth. The Program Administrator supports Community Asset grant programs that fund projects delivering public benefit, including housing, health, cultural facilities, childcare, environmental remediation, and more.

Reporting

Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Community Assets, this role provides administrative and program support for initiatives such as Brownfields, the Cultural Facilities Fund, Early Education and Out of School Time (EEOST), and the Underutilized Properties Program. This is a hybrid position based in Boston or one of our satellite offices, ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

What

You’ll Do
  • Coordinate the timely execution of Grant Agreements and disbursements by managing information flow between grantees and internal departments.
  • Collect and verify required documentation, review scopes of work, and support external partners through the grant application and contracting process.
  • Collaborate with Community Investment colleagues to issue grant notifications, process contracts and payments, and maintain accurate tracking of awards, closings, and disbursements.
  • Upload and maintain applications, agreements, project write-ups, and account reviews within the electronic filing system.
  • Keep the project management database current with up-to-date project and grantee information.
  • Track key performance indicators and support the preparation of accurate and timely impact reports (annual and ad hoc).
  • Assist in preparing materials for statutory committee meetings and internal review committees.
  • Partner with the Marketing team to coordinate external events and program-related communications as needed.
What We're Looking For
  • Minimum of two years of experience in economic development, business development, grants management, or a related field, with strong partner or customer service experience.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.) and the ability to quickly learn new software systems and databases.
  • Ability to work effectively in diverse cultural settings, with demonstrated sensitivity to different perspectives; bilingual skills are a plus.
  • Knowledge of workplace concepts related to diversity, equity, inclusion, ability, and anti-oppression.
