Event Manager / Planner
Berklee College of Music and Boston Conservatory at Berklee are looking for a high-energy, tech-savvy, hospitality-minded Assistant Director of Admissions, Auditions, and Interviews. In this role, you aren’t just managing a process; you are the architect of the first major milestone in a young artist’s career.
Key Responsibilities- Audition Events & Logistics:
Coordinate and oversee operations for A&I events held on campus, on the road, and online; manage contracts, invoices, and financial records for domestic and international trips. - Technical Leadership:
Serve as the primary technical resource for online auditions, leveraging Zoom to connect with talent across the globe. - Data-Driven Strategy:
Conduct A&I ROI reporting, analyze cost-per-matriculant and evaluation ratings to refine recruitment strategies. - Team Management:
Hire, train, and supervise a team of student workers and temporary staff to ensure seamless event execution. - Event Management & Facilitation:
Prepare all materials for on-campus events, from sight-reading books to catering and vendor set-up. - Database Management:
Utilize Salesforce, Form Assembly, and Filemaker Pro to manage A&I databases and generate actionable reports. - Internal
Collaboration:
Partner with faculty, Public Safety, and Enrollment Marketing to ensure all stakeholders—from alumni to prospective students—have an optimal experience. - World-Class Customer Service:
Act as a primary point of contact for families, counseling them on audition formats, scholarship eligibility, financial aid, and the admissions lifecycle. - The VIP
Experience:
Ensure the applicant experience exceeds that of any competing institution through proactive relationship building and professional empathy.
- Experience:
1–3 years of relatable experience in admissions, event management, or customer service. - Technical
Skills:
Proficiency in Salesforce and Zoom; comfortable troubleshooting high-stakes events. - Organizational Prowess:
Strong administrative and time-management skills; able to manage multiple moving parts simultaneously. - Communication:
Articulate and professional written and oral communication skills, with maturity to handle sensitive student counseling issues. - Music Background:
Music training and experience strongly preferred for daily communication with musicians and faculty.

Hiring Range$63,000 to $67,000; salary dependent on experience and education.
