Role OverviewThis role is for a senior consultant who leads teams in delivering complex commercial and strategy mandates across the Americas power and renewables markets, driving high‑quality analysis and trusted advisory to clients.
Main Responsibilities- Lead delivery of complex commercial and strategy mandates across Americas power and renewables markets, shaping the approach, setting objectives, and steering teams to on‑time, on‑budget, high‑standard completion.
- Ensure rigorous analysis, clarity of recommendations, and hold accountability for all project outputs.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior client teams, often serving as the commercial advisor on transactions and interfacing at all levels.
- Serve as the client’s point of contact throughout each mandate, ensuring strong client experience and surfacing opportunities for additional work.
- Coach and develop junior colleagues, modelling problem‑solving standards and supporting their growth.
- Bring a commercially grounded view of power and renewables markets (fundamentals, price formation, core technologies, energy transition) and apply it with judgment across client situations.
- Build and leverage a robust internal network across consulting, research, sales, and account management.
- 7+ years of consulting experience with a proven track record of leading projects and teams.
- Strong consulting fundamentals: structured problem‑solving, analytical rigor, and clear, defensible answers.
- Solid grounding in power and/or renewables markets, with credibility to engage clients from day one.
- Experience acting as a commercial advisor in power and renewables transactions is highly desirable.
- Financial modelling skills and familiarity with power generation asset or market modelling are highly desirable.
- Strong written and verbal communication: the ability to craft high‑impact stories and present with authority to senior audiences.
- Proven ability to coach and develop junior colleagues and raise the team’s standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, economics, finance, mathematics, physics or similar; an MBA or master’s degree is preferred.
- Excellent Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills;
Python and AI tool development skills are desirable.
