Senior Outbound Product Manager
Wind River Cloud Platform Product Management team is part of the Wind River Product organization. The team is responsible for our private cloud product, automation/orchestration, and analytics, the fastest growing part of the corporation, serving customers with cloud‑native intelligent systems.
Key Responsibilities- Lead customer and sales engagement for RFP responses, product updates, roadmap communication, feature prioritization, pricing, and escalations.
- Collaborate with Product Line Managers and global sales teams to align roadmaps and feature requirements with market demand.
- Discover and gather customer requirements, driving product adoption and sales plans.
- Conduct business development, market assessment, ideation, and adoption initiatives.
- Formally communicate the roadmap to global sales teams and customers.
- Create and manage product collateral, ensuring presentations, descriptions, and materials are available to sales and pre‑sales teams.
- Assess private cloud business sales on a customer‑by‑customer basis, tracking revenue targets against annual plans.
- Evangelize Wind River’s competitive advantage in the market.
- Develop value propositions for specific customer cases.
- Partner with Professional Services and related functions to identify additional opportunities.
- Leverage Edge AI capabilities to inform product messaging, identify new use cases, and highlight real‑time, on‑device intelligence.
- Collaborate with engineering and data science teams to translate AI and Edge AI capabilities into market‑facing benefits that align with customer needs and strategic goals.
- Report directly to the Vice President of Product Management for the Wind River Cloud Platform product team.
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise verticals driving complex technical software customer engagement.
- Knowledge of U.S. Government processes, requirements, and certifications for software compliance (e.g., STIG/SRG, Fed Ramp, FIP) and Authority to Operate.
- Deep understanding of enterprise/IT product procurement models and business contexts.
- Experience with AI/ML technologies, preferably Edge AI, IoT, or embedded systems.
- Technical experience with private cloud platforms for enterprise use, including Kubernetes, Open Stack, storage, and security.
- Business development experience is highly desirable.
- Ability to drive engagement across all levels, from working level to C‑suite.
- Strong “make things happen” attitude combined with a collaborative spirit.
- Leadership skill to cultivate relationships with senior management and cross‑functional teams.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- BA/BS required in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field; MS/MBA preferred.
- Demonstrated credibility with customers, partners, and cross‑functional stakeholders.
- Must reside in the listed locations and be able to work on site.
- Legally able to work in the U.S. without the requirement of any type of visa sponsorship now or in the future.

The annual base salary range for this role’s listed grade level is currently $165,000 to $206,200 plus a bonus for Colorado, New York, and New Jersey residents, and $185,000 to $222,000 plus a bonus for the SF Bay Area, Greater Seattle, NYC, and Washington, DC, residents. Salary ranges are determined through interviews and a review of education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and abilities.
