Auditions & Interviews Student Assistant
The Auditions & Interviews Student Assistant supports the thousands of prospective students applying to Berklee's three US-based campuses. Under the direction of the Manager of Auditions Operations, this team provides world-class service and VIP treatment to all prospective students and their families. This role helps direct general admissions operations duties and the successful implementation of the audition and interview (A&I) including, but not limited to communications and event staffing.
CustomerService and Communication :
Serves as the first point of contact for prospective students and families relating to the A&II component of the admissions process. Team members will handle inbound and outbound communications via Auditions phone line and emails.
Ensures that the highest level of service is provided to applicants with a view towards ensuring that their experience with Berklee far exceeds that of any competing institutions.
As event and operations assistants, support all Berklee College of Music on-campus A&I events. A&I events will take place from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Assists the Auditions Team with preparing all materials needed for an on-campus audition event
Serve as co-host for online A&I events on Mondays and Thursdays during peak audition season.
Provide event support for Boston Conservatory on-campus audition events as needed on Saturdays and Sundays during peak audition season.
Assist the Audition team with scheduling faculty auditioners, interviewers, and other student workers for on-campus A&I events.
Other duties as assigned by either the Manager of Auditions Operations or the Auditions Coordinators.
- A strong desire to represent the Berklee College and Boston Conservatory community for prospective students and families.
- Attention to detail, strong organization and time-management skills.
- Prior history of customer service related skills.
- Must be self-motivated, possess an entrepreneurial spirit, and have the ability to work independently.
- Able to conduct both written and oral communication in an articulate, professional and knowledgeable manner.
- Ability to maintain and promote confidentiality required.
- Familiarity with spreadsheet applications, strong writing and reading skills, and strong computer skills (include database file and advanced word processing use). Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRMs a plus but not required.
