Private Equity Sourcing & Operations Analyst

If you’re coming out of a top program with strong internships and want exposure to private equity—but prefer building, analyzing, and driving activity behind the scenes rather than chasing a traditional deal path—this is a unique seat to consider.

This role is designed as operational leverage to a high-performing investment team
, focused on sourcing strategy, market mapping, and business development support
. You’ll work closely with investors to help identify, track, and engage potential opportunities—playing a critical role in how deals get in the door.

It’s fast-paced, detail-oriented, and ideal for someone who’s comfortable being “in the weeds” and takes pride in creating structure, insights, and momentum.

What You’ll Work On
  • Build and maintain target lists, pipeline tracking, and prospect mapping across sectors and themes
  • Partner with investors to support outbound sourcing efforts and business development initiatives
  • Leverage AI tools and data platforms to enhance sourcing workflows, research, and opportunity identification
  • Conduct company and market research to surface actionable insights and trends
  • Help manage and optimize CRM systems and sourcing infrastructure
  • Track interactions, maintain clean data, and ensure visibility into pipeline activity
  • Support broader sourcing operations and strategic initiatives as the team scales
What They’re Looking For
  • 0–2 years of experience (including internships), ideally with exposure to private equity, investment banking, consulting, or high-performance environments
  • Strong academic background from a top-tier university
  • Highly detail-oriented with a willingness to own execution and dig into the work
  • Interest in private markets and business development
, even if not pursuing a traditional deal role
  • Comfortable working with data, systems, and tools (experience with CRM platforms or AI tools is a plus
    )
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with senior stakeholders
  • Self-starter mindset with drive, curiosity, and low ego
Why This Role
  • Direct exposure to a top-tier private equity investing team
  • Opportunity to build a skillset at the intersection of investing, strategy, and operations
  • A path for long-term growth and increasing responsibility within a high-performance environment
  • A chance to differentiate yourself early by becoming an expert in sourcing strategy and market intelligence

This is a great fit for someone who wants to be close to the action, build real expertise, and carve out a valuable niche within private equity—without following the traditional, structured track.
