Wayfair Analyst Position

Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,500 per year

This is a Boston based opportunity with a 4 day in office expectation (Monday - Thursday) with 1 day remote (Friday).

Wayfair's Operations organization is revolutionizing the customer experience through the development of a proprietary logistics network and optimization platform that manages inventory from overseas factories to customer's front door. This team works directly with suppliers, vendors, and customers to provide new levels of efficiency and performance. They also interact internally with Product, Engineering, and Business Intelligence teams to generate the core analytical insights that enable Wayfair to tackle transportation, warehousing, and delivery challenges.

As an Analyst, you'll develop and execute strategies that generate competitive advantage for Wayfair, and the results of your findings will improve the day-to-day efficiency of a complex and sophisticated global supply chain.

Successful individuals in this role excel at both qualitative and quantitative analysis while also being eager to communicate upward and outward to tell a concise story.

• Manage processes and drive engagement with key cross-functional partners
• Leverage analytical methods and visualization to translate data sets into actionable insights to drive business decisions and outcomes
• Conduct ad hoc analyses and build reporting in Google Sheets
• Communicate regularly with cross functional partners to understand the health of Wayfair's supply chain network and determine ways to break down problems into action-oriented solutions
• Develop and drive adherence to sustainable long-term performance management frameworks to improve performance across multiple process paths in our supply chain
• Monitor key performance indicators and assess how we're making progress against our core metrics and OKRs
• Work cross-functionally with a variety of teams including Warehousing, Transportation, Technology, and Supplier facing teams.
• Willingness to travel 25–50% of the time for business needs.

Procurement Analyst

Wayfair is looking for an Analyst on the Procurement Operations team to streamline contracting and sourcing efforts across the purchasing journey. This role is pivotal to transforming our firm-wide buying process by managing key contracting processes, tracking relevant data (renewals, terms, etc.), centralizing spend on a single platform, unlocking process efficiencies, and maximizing our team's return on investment. We are looking for adaptable doers who are great at engaging with stakeholders, questioning inefficiencies, using data to solve problems, and multi-tasking.

This role will enable development across a myriad of skills, including analytics, project management, and negotiation -- positioning someone to transition into fields such as finance, law, or operations. Wayfair's Strategic Procurement team was established to drive ongoing optimization of our procurement systems and processes. This role will support the procurement and legal teams, and work to centralize and standardize spend and contract management.

What You'll Need Basic Qualifications

• 0-3 years of transferable experience in a corporate environment, including internship and co-op experience.
• Bachelor's Degree
• Experience with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, SQL or GBQ, and data visualization tools such as Google Data Studio (Looker, Tableau, or PowerBI)

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with any programming language (R, Python) is a plus, including motivation to learn and develop the skill-set
• Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills: excited about working with and synthesizing big data into actionable insights; comfortable using data software to conduct analyses and synthesize findings
• Strong consultative skills: ability to work effectively and persuasively with a highly cross-functional group of business partners
• High attention to detail, zero-defect analysis and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
• Strong business acumen: ability to understand how various parts of the business interact; can identify and approach problems from a customer or supplier perspective
• An entrepreneurial spirit and mindset; you must be adaptable and comfortable with change
