Job Description
Client AdvisorGuide Clients Through Renovation Projects That Are Too Important to Get Wrong
Beantown Builders Inc. is a premium design-build remodeling company serving Greater Boston. We specialize in significant residential renovations and select commercial renovation projects where thoughtful planning, disciplined execution, and professional guidance are just as important as construction itself.
Our clients aren't looking for someone to simply provide an estimate. They're making meaningful investments in their homes, businesses, and properties, and they want an experienced professional who can help them evaluate options, identify challenges, reduce uncertainty, and confidently move from concept to construction.
We're seeking a Client Advisor to become that trusted first point of contact.
This is not a traditional sales position.
It's a client advisory role for someone who understands construction, enjoys solving problems, and takes pride in helping clients make informed decisions about projects where planning matters.
Whether your background is in construction, architecture, engineering, estimating, project management, or residential design, if you enjoy working with people and want to apply your technical knowledge in a client-facing role, we'd like to hear from you.
What You'll DoAs a Client Advisor, you'll guide clients through the earliest—and often most important—stage of their renovation journey.
You'll evaluate opportunities, identify potential challenges, educate clients on their options, and help determine whether Beantown Builders is the right partner for their project.
Your responsibilities will include:- Responding promptly to new inquiries.
- Conducting discovery calls to understand each client's goals, priorities, budget, and timeline.
- Qualifying prospective clients based on project fit, objectives, and expectations.
- Meeting clients on-site to evaluate existing conditions and identify design and construction considerations.
- Providing thoughtful guidance on project feasibility and recommending appropriate next steps.
- Guiding qualified clients through our structured preconstruction process.
- Collaborating with our design and estimating teams to develop preliminary budgets, scope recommendations, and project strategies.
- Helping clients navigate design development, budgeting, and value engineering decisions.
- Presenting project proposals and serving as a trusted advisor throughout the decision-making process.
- Maintaining accurate client records within our CRM.
- Coordinating a seamless transition to our Operations team once a construction agreement is executed.
Building trusted relationships is a core responsibility of this role.
In addition to working with company-generated opportunities, you'll help strengthen Beantown Builders' reputation throughout Greater Boston by:
- Developing relationships with architects, engineers, interior designers, Realtors, insurance professionals, and other referral partners.
- Representing Beantown Builders at networking events, industry associations, and community organizations.
- Supporting and expanding our Partner Access Program.
- Maintaining relationships with past clients to encourage repeat business and referrals.
- Collaborating with our Marketing team to strengthen our visibility within the markets we intentionally serve.
We're looking for professionals who understand buildings and enjoy helping clients make informed decisions.
Experience in one or more of the following is strongly preferred:
- Residential remodeling
- Commercial renovation
- Construction management
- Project management
- Estimating
- Architecture
- Architectural or residential design
- Engineering
- Design-build
Professional licensure is not required.
Relevant experience, sound construction judgment, and the ability to communicate professionally are far more important than credentials.
The ideal candidate:- Understands how buildings are assembled and can recognize opportunities and potential challenges during site visits.
- Is naturally curious and asks thoughtful questions before offering solutions.
- Communicates with professionalism, confidence, and empathy.
- Enjoys educating…
