Director​/Senior Director, Corporate Development

Emulate is seeking a Director or Senior Director of Corporate Development to support and execute strategic growth initiatives across partnerships, transactions, and market expansion opportunities. This individual will play a key role in identifying, evaluating, and executing collaborations and licensing opportunities, working closely with senior leadership and cross‑functional teams. The role is ideal for someone who brings strong transaction experience and is looking to expand their scope in a dynamic, growth‑stage environment.

Boston, MA (Hybrid)

• Identify and evaluate partnership, licensing, and collaboration opportunities aligned with Emulate’s strategic priorities
• Support and lead execution of corporate development transactions, including diligence, financial analysis, deal structuring, and negotiation
• Partner with senior leadership to help shape corporate development priorities and pipeline
• Work cross‑functionally with R&D, Commercial, and Legal teams to align on deal strategy and execution
• Build financial models, valuation analyses, and business cases to support decision‑making
• Contribute to negotiation of term sheets and definitive agreements in collaboration with Legal
• Track and analyze market trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging technologies
• Support alliance management and governance activities for key partnerships
• Help refine internal processes and best practices for evaluating and executing deals

• Advanced degree in life sciences (e.g., biology, bioengineering) strongly preferred; MBA a plus
• ~8–12 years of experience in corporate development, business development, consulting, or strategy within biotech, pharma, or life sciences tools
• Experience supporting and/or leading transactions such as partnerships, licensing deals, or collaborations
• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
• Ability to engage with both scientific and commercial stakeholders
• Experience working cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced environment

• Someone who can execute deals end‑to‑end, while growing into broader strategic ownership
• A collaborative partner to internal teams—not operating in a silo
• A proactive, detail‑oriented operator who can move opportunities forward
• Comfortable in a scaling organization where structure is still evolving

This position is based on site in Boston, MA.

The expected base salary range for this role is $200,000 – $225,000 per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and level. This position is also eligible for equity and a comprehensive benefits package.
