We are looking for a Quantitative Investment Engineer to join our Quantitative Investment Science (QIS) team s role involves developing applications, expanding our data set, and translating business requirements into technical solutions on our cloud‑based data analytics platform for private markets.
Hybrid Work ArrangementRemote work: 18 days per quarter (approximately 13 days of continuous remote and 5 flexible days) at the manager’s discretion.
Key Responsibilities- Capture and translate business requirements into technical solutions, integrations, and system designs.
- Build and maintain working prototypes using SQL, Python, and other relevant technologies.
- Develop quick functional prototypes and identify manual and automated tests on data and functionality.
- Collaborate with engineers, researchers, QA, investment professionals, vendors, and IT teams throughout the solution lifecycle.
- Identify, document, and facilitate the onboarding of new data sets.
- Update project artifacts such as task boards, use cases, application documentation, release notes, and technical write‑ups.
- Resolve data exceptions and irregularities from internal and external sources.
- Support additional responsibilities as required by the team.
- High energy, collaborative work style with flexibility to handle a broad range of analysis, testing, and support assignments.
- Proficient in SQL and data analysis to support system design and testing.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to dissect complex situations and propose creative solutions.
- Excellent facilitation, interpersonal, and communication skills at all levels and across functional groups.
- Experience with investment data management, especially IBOR or other book‑of‑records systems.
- Proficiency in Python and quick prototype development.
- Experience on business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent.
- Understanding of Dev Ops, CI/CD practices, and related tools.
- Ability to facilitate multiple intricate projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with agile software development methodologies and tools.
- Track record of completing high‑intensity, high‑complexity projects.
- Preferred:
Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) or Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree, or equivalent experience. - 3–5 years of business analyst experience in the investment management or Fin Tech industry (preferred).
- Base salary range: $105,000 – $115,000 USD (annually).
- Eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on individual and firm performance.
- Potential eligibility for long‑term reward programs and a comprehensive total rewards package, including retirement, health, insurance, paid time off, and wellness programs.
- Compensation may vary by position and geography; posted ranges apply only in the U.S.
