In order to participate in Berklee Student Employment, a student must satisfy the following eligibility requirements:
Eligibility Requirements- Current student at Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee.
- Enrolled at least half‑time in a degree, diploma, or certificate‑seeking undergraduate or graduate program.
- Summer is the only semester in which a student can maintain employment without being enrolled; in this case, the student must be pre‑registered for the upcoming fall semester.
- Have a valid United States Social Security Number (SSN) and remain in valid Visa status as applicable.
- A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA (students in their first semester may work before an official GPA is computed).
- Federal Work Study student may apply.
- In good disciplinary standing and located in the U.S.
The Office of Admissions hosts multiple on‑campus Boston Conservatory audition events per semester, typically on Saturdays and Sundays. The first event is typically held in early November and runs from 8:00 a.m. to about 6:00 p.m. All new hires receive mandatory training.
Duties and Responsibilities- Check‑in applicants for their audition or interview at on‑campus events, providing them with helpful information about the schedule and expectations.
- Escort applicants to audition locations if they differ from the check‑in venue, and from their warm‑up rooms to the audition rooms.
- Guide applicants to their designated practice and warm‑up rooms, keeping track of locations and audition times, and directing them to the audition room when it is their turn.
- Help set up and organize check‑in tables, ensuring materials are correctly arranged in practice rooms, and perform other logistical tasks as needed.
- Assist the Audition Manager(s) as required.
- Attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a desire to represent the Boston Conservatory community to prospective students and families.
- Strong teamwork skills, effectively collaborating with faculty, admissions staff, fellow student workers, applicants, and guests in a professional and respectful manner.
- Dependable, adaptable, punctual, and reliable.
- Students with a background in music performance and dance auditions are strongly encouraged to apply.
Hourly Rate: $16.45
