Business Development Assistant
Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, one of the world's leading global law firms with offices in strategic hubs of commerce, law, and government across North America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, is seeking to hire a highly motivated Business Development Assistant to join our award-winning Business Development department, supporting our Corporate & Transactional practice teams.
You'll support the operational and project management activities that advance the firm's strategic business development initiatives. Working closely with lawyers, Business Development colleagues, and other professionals across the firm, you'll help organize and execute a wide range of business development activities while building the foundational skills needed for continued growth.
In this role, you'll coordinate day-to-day activities with guidance and support, respond to requests from multiple stakeholders across the firm, and collaborate with colleagues at all levels to help deliver high-quality work product. We're looking for someone who is responsive, self-motivated, collaborative, and committed to excellence, with exceptional attention to detail. Intellectual curiosity, sound judgment, discretion, responsiveness, and initiative are key to success in this role.
Maintaining an in-office presence is important to delivering our services through an integrated and collaborative work culture. This position will be located in our Boston office and follows a hybrid three (3) days per week in-office working arrangement.
What You'll Do
- Assist with tracking and reporting proposals, pitches, RFP responses, presentations, and other business development initiatives.
- Partner with lawyers and colleagues to collect experience information and maintain the firm's experience database.
- Support multiple business development projects and day-to-day assignments while adapting to changing priorities.
- Coordinate responses to special projects and ad hoc requests from department leaders.
- Monitor and track business development initiatives to help ensure department goals and strategic priorities are achieved.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to complete assignments and deliverables while managing multiple deadlines.
- Maintain tracking and reporting tools, including spreadsheets, databases, and reports.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Who We're Looking For
- Associate's or bachelor's degree and minimum of one year of relevant professional experience. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
- Comfortable managing multiple assignments and balancing competing priorities in a fast-paced professional environment.
- Excellent writing, proofreading, and organizational skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to building relationships with colleagues across the firm.
- High degree of proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and database applications, along with the ability to quickly learn new technology and software.
- Strong communication skills, sound judgment, and a commitment to delivering outstanding client service.
- Self-motivated, team-oriented, and eager to learn in a collaborative, professional environment.
