Job Overview
Lead Product Manager for Fed Now Business Growth at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston. The role focuses on driving growth strategy for BaaS financial institutions and OBO service providers, contributing to Fed Now expansion and ensuring product fit. Responsibilities- Develop and iterate Fed Now product features across key customer segments.
- Lead product discovery, business cases, opportunity sizing, risk assessment, and prioritization.
- Build value‑add product concepts and support roadmap decisions.
- Analyze Fed Now feature enhancements and assess customer impact.
- Understand the instant payments ecosystem, competitive dynamics, and emerging trends.
- Evaluate customer pain points, adoption barriers, and identify new segments or use cases.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with product delivery, engineering, design, risk, legal, operations, marketing, and program management teams.
- Communicate findings, tradeoffs, and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking.
- Effective collaboration across functional groups.
- Customer focus with engagement at financial institutions and service providers.
- Execution and delivery of product discovery and delivery activities.
- Clear communication of findings and recommendations.
- Modest travel.
- 3–5+ years product management, business analysis or strategy in fintech, payments, or digital banking.
- Experience with APIs, developer platforms or ecosystem‑driven products.
- Familiarity with financial products or payment systems.
- Understanding of instant payments landscape and operational considerations.
- Strong problem‑solving, data analysis, and recommendation skills.
- Excellent communication skills for diverse audiences.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, policy, marketing or related field; advanced degree optional.
Salary range: $157,000–$196,500. Remote outside 1st District may be hired by local District with corresponding compensation.
