North America Strategic Insights Analyst, VP - State Street Investment Management

The VP, North America Strategic Insights Analyst is responsible for continuously monitoring what is happening across the North American asset management industry and within our own business—and translating that into real-time, decision-ready insight for leadership. This role helps ensure that leadership has a clear, current view of market direction, competitive positioning, emerging opportunities and risks—and a direct understanding of what those developments mean for the firm.

In addition, this role plays a key part in supporting strategic decision-making, ensuring that insights are delivered with the speed, clarity, and context required to shape firm-wide priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain a forward-looking view of the North American asset management landscape, including flows, product innovation, competitive positioning, client and advisor behavior, and emerging market trends

Deliver timely, concise, and decision-ready updates to senior leadership on market developments, State Street Investment Management’s relative performance, and implications for business priorities

Synthesize proprietary and third-party data into clear, actionable insights that identify competitive threats, growth opportunities, and shifts in client, advisor, and market demand across the region

Translate analysis into clear strategic implications, ensuring that “so what” and “what do we do next” are embedded as core outputs that strengthen decision intelligence across the broader team Serve as strategic partner to US Sales leadership and key internal stakeholders to drive adoption of self-service performance tools that improve visibility into industry trends, client opportunities, and business outcomes

Serve as a central point of contact for time-sensitive, quick-hit insight requests from leadership, drawing on internal and external data sources to support faster, better-informed decisions

Qualifications6–10 years of experience in market intelligence, business analytics, corporate/distribution strategy, or related roles

Experience in NA asset management, wealth management, or financial services strongly preferred

Familiarity with industry data sources across product vehicles and client segments (flows, holdings, competitive data, consultant/OCIO insights)
Strong analytical capabilities and ability to present complex information in a clear, concise manner that directly leads to decision making

Demonstrated ability to develop executive-level narratives and recommendations

High intellectual curiosity and commercial orientation, with a proactive and solution-oriented approach to tasks

Executive presence, with experience serving as a trusted advisor to senior leaders

Salary Range:$110,000 - $188,750 Annual The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
