A&M's Private Equity Performance Improvement Services (PEPI) practice, with offices throughout the US, focuses on serving the middle market and large cap private equity firms who have engaged A&M to help improve operating results at their portfolio companies.

Role Overview:
Directors are the primary engagement owners. They lead CDDs end-to-end, manage clients day-to-day, and are accountable for insight quality, judgment calls, and delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the engagement from kickoff through final IC read-out
• Frame diligence scope, hypotheses, and priority risks
• Lead day-to-day client interaction with PE deal teams
• Orchestrate Managers and work streams into a cohesive storyline
• Make judgment calls on trade-offs, depth vs. speed, and risk emphasis
• Ensure outputs are investment-committee ready
• Coach Managers on judgment, synthesis, and leadership

Qualifications:

• MBA from a top-tier business school
• 8+ years of experience, including 2+ years in consulting or CDD
• Deep understanding of PE decision-making and diligence dynamics
• Strong executive presence and client credibility

• Clients view the Director as the deal's thought partner
• Consistently delivers sharp, decisive commercial views
• Builds repeat engagement momentum

The salary range is $150,000-$225,000 annually, dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography. In addition, A&M offers a discretionary bonus program which is based on a number of factors, including individual and firm performance. Please ask your recruiter for details.
