The Manager is responsible for leading the planning and execution of corporate events and conferences, delivering exceptional stakeholder experiences through strategic project management and operational excellence. This role manages the end-to-end event lifecycle, overseeing planning, logistics, communications, vendor management, budget tracking, registration, travel, production, and on‑site execution to ensure events are delivered seamlessly, on budget, and to the highest standard.
Specific Responsibilities:- Lead the planning and execution of multiple corporate events and conferences.
- Manage financial aspects of assigned events, including budget development, expense tracking, invoice processing, post‑event reconciliation, and financial reporting.
- Source, negotiate, and manage contracts with venues, hotels, and event suppliers to deliver high‑quality experiences while maximizing value.
- Oversee event logistics, including registration, travel, accommodations, food and beverage, production, audio/visual, event technology, entertainment, gifts, and speaker management, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional attendee experiences.
- Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to plan and deliver large‑scale, complex events, fostering a team‑oriented and solutions‑driven approach.
- Ensure all events comply with attendee standards, company policies, and applicable legal, compliance, and risk management requirements.
- Lead post‑event evaluations, including attendee reporting, budget reconciliation, stakeholder debriefs, and recommendations to drive continuous improvement.
- Partner closely with cross‑functional teams—including Communications, Investor Relations and Strategic Resources Group, Legal, Compliance, and other internal stakeholders to deliver integrated, high‑quality events aligned with business objectives.
- Maintain knowledge of industry trends, emerging suppliers, venues, and best practices, applying innovative ideas to enhance future events.
- Travel as needed to conduct site inspections and provide on‑site leadership, overseeing event operations and vendor coordination to ensure seamless execution.
- Bachelor's degree preferred, with 5–7+ years of corporate event management experience ideally within private equity, financial services, or a professional services environment.
- Demonstrated success planning and executing executive‑level meetings, conferences, receptions, dinners, and multi‑day events across in‑person, virtual, and hybrid formats.
- Exceptional project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and deliver high‑quality results in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong financial and operational acumen, including experience with event budgeting, forecasting, vendor negotiations, and contract management.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with a proven ability to build trusted relationships with senior executives, stakeholders, and clients.
