Initiative Support Associate, Consulting

- Coordinate consulting project logistics, maintaining project plans, timelines, action trackers, deliverables, and other tools that support effective execution.
- Support client-facing administrative processes, including reporting schedules, invoicing, billing, re-grant disbursements, and documentation coordination with internal and external partners.
- Prepare meeting agendas, materials, notes, and follow-up communications while monitoring action items and proactively communicating progress, risks, and support needs.
- Contribute to client deliverables such as PowerPoint presentations, engagement letters, research reports, workshop materials, and training curricula.
- Conduct research, gather information, and compile quantitative and qualitative data to support consulting engagements and client recommendations.
- Maintain accurate project, financial, and impact information in Salesforce and other knowledge-management systems.
- Analyze information and synthesize findings, observations, trends, and recommendations into clear, accurate, and accessible outputs.
- Review presentations, reports, summaries, and other work products for accuracy, consistency, completeness, and quality before delivery.
- Identify recurring themes, lessons learned, and effective practices across projects and contribute to shared tools, templates, resources, and knowledge repositories.
- Collaborate with consulting teams, clients, partners, and colleagues to support successful engagements and build positive, trust-based relationships.
- Lead or support logistics for workshops, training sessions, events, and convenings, including scheduling, participant coordination, materials preparation, and virtual or in-person execution.
- Participate in internal and client meetings, contribute to department initiatives, pursue professional development, and support special projects or organizational priorities as needed.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational processes and recommend practical changes that strengthen project delivery and team effectiveness.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, or an equivalent combination of relevant education, training, and professional experience.
- At least one year of professional work experience.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, maintain accurate records, and consistently demonstrate attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly with colleagues, clients, and external partners.
- Demonstrated analytical, research, and problem-solving capabilities, including the ability to work with both quantitative and qualitative information.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a distributed, matrixed team environment.
- Experience in nonprofit, public-sector, consulting, financial services, or a related environment is highly valued.
- Interest in or willingness to learn about community development financial institutions (CDFIs), community-centered finance, and the nonprofit sector.
