Forward Deployed AI Product Manager - PE Firm - Up to 250k Base

This is a Forward Deployed AI Product Manager role within a newly formed, dedicated AI team at one of the world's most well-regarded large cap private equity firms.

You will not be managing a steady-state product roadmap. You will be deployed into portfolio companies. initially healthcare focused - to identify where AI can materially change the value of a business, build the program around it, and see it through to scaled adoption and handoff.

The model is deliberately lean. You work as part of a small pod alongside an AI Engineer. You are embedded within portfolio companies with full firm credentials, access, and title — not as a consultant looking in from the outside, but as part of the team. The goal is to get a portfolio company to the point of owning their AI capability themselves - including helping them hire and build their own team.

Day to day that means conducting AI diligence on new investments, shaping value creation plans, mobilizing AI programs post-close, running steering committees, translating business problems into product requirements, partnering with engineers on feasibility and MVP definition, and managing change all the way through to frontline adoption. You need to be equally comfortable presenting to a CEO and sitting with frontline users to understand their workflow.

The profile they are looking for is a blend - consulting background for discovery and commercial instinct, product management experience from a scaled startup environment, program management discipline, and genuine AI fluency
. Experience from large corporates where the scaffolding was already built is less relevant here. They want someone who has had to build it themselves.
