The WORK Inc. Family Support Center is seeking applicants who are enthusiastic, energetic, highly organized, detail-oriented, and have strong oral and written bilingual communication skills to fill the role of Family Resource Coordinator. At our Family Support Center, we are dedicated to empowering families by providing comprehensive culturally specific support, resources, and guidance to nurture strong, healthy, and resilient relationships.

Reports to:

Director of Family Support Services

Responsibilities include:

Prepare financial assistance documents.

Attend meetings with the Department of Developmental Services (DDS).Support families with financial processes (e.g., completing Expenditure Plans, processing check requests).Maintain documentation of fund distributions.

Develop the Asset Development Initiative.

Utilize Microsoft Access and Excel to manage fund allocations and distributions.

Prepare mid-year and year-end financial reports.

Ensure compliance with DDS auditing requirements.

Collaborate with the agency’s finance department.

Assist in the development and implementation of the Center’s plans, goals, and objectives.

Provide a welcoming environment for individuals and their families.

Nurture positive relationships with individuals, families, guardians, neighbors, and other service providers.

Maintain accurate inventories of program supplies, equipment, office materials, and family resource center items

Track and coordinate the use of agency resources and shared assets.

Monitor compliance with agency standards related to cleanliness, organization, safety, accessibility, and facility presentation

Requirements include:

A Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or a minimum of three years’ experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.

Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, including the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with individuals, families, community partners, and service providers

Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook, with the ability to maintain databases, track expenditures, generate reports, and manage program records.

Valid Massachusetts Driver's License with an acceptable driving record and the ability to travel locally as required.

Strong organizational, time-management, and project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial tracking, reporting, recordkeeping, and data entry.

Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with families, staff, community partners, and service providers.
