General
Summary:
The Project Management & Strategic Operations Director serves as the end-to-end program lead for large-scale strategic programs of high business value within Global Regulatory Affairs (GRA), driving benefit achievement through program initiation, planning, solution design/build, and KPI measurement and solution adoption.
KeyDuties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee end-to-end program management for large-scale strategic programs (full lifecycle)
- Manage progress and contributions of workstream leads/subordinate project managers to deliver value within time frames and budget
- Manage contingencies, interdependencies, and synergies across multiple projects
- Build and synthesize detailed project plans, budgeting/forecasting, and resource plans
- Develop statements of work, stakeholder management plans, guiding principles, goals, risks, resource allocation, and roles/responsibilities
- Lead post-acquisition GRA integration (operational alignment, technology consolidation, data/document transfer, talent integration)
- Secure and lead internal/external resources; establish program governance
- Evaluate/select/manage external resources or vendors
- Anticipate and mitigate major risks across the lifecycle
- Craft feasible solutions and make prompt decisions under ambiguity
- Manage detailed functional-level communication with management
- Plan and execute program/project(s) with cross-functional partners; coordinate across boundaries
- Train/coaching on execution methodologies and promote best practices
- Develop tools/training; ensure delivery conforms to methodologies/standards; recommend improvements
- Evaluate and report costs/benefits; monitor quality/adoption targets; recommend and implement corrective actions

- Bachelor’s degree
- Typically 10 years of experience (or equivalent combination)
- Hybrid (remote up to 2 days/week) or On-Site (5 days/week with ad hoc flexibility)
