Commercial Property & Safety Field Consultant (Independent Contractor) - Boston, MA
Looking for flexible field-based consulting work? Put your experience in building inspection, construction, safety, facilities, fire prevention, property management, or insurance to work with Sedgwick.
What You'll Do
- Conduct commercial property and general liability inspections
- Assess retail stores, offices, restaurants, schools, apartments, and other commercial properties
- Take photos, measurements, and document property conditions
- Prepare clear inspection reports with observations and recommendations
Who We're Looking for Professionals with experience in:
- Building inspection or code enforcement
- Fire/life safety
- Safety or EHS
- Construction supervision
- Facilities or property management
- Insurance, claims, underwriting, or risk control
Retired and second-career professionals are encouraged to apply. Previous loss control experience is helpful but not required.

Compensation
Most assignments are paid on a flat-fee basis and typically range from $60-$100 per completed inspection, depending on assignment type, location, and client requirements.
