This Co‑op experience provides participants with a meaningful, relevant work experience as part of their academic studies. In addition to daily responsibilities, participants will have the opportunity to participate in a series of structured activities designed to enhance their learning experience including:
- Co‑Op New Hire Orientation
- Senior Leadership Speaker Series
- Social & Networking Events
- Presentation Challenges
At the conclusion of this position, co‑ops will have increased their knowledge of investing, the mutual fund industry, employee engagement, and a firm understanding of how corporate citizenship works at an asset manager. MFS co‑op positions are a 6-month commitment, working Monday – Friday (beginning on Wednesday, January 13th through Friday June 25th, 2027), and work between 35‑40 hours. Our program is designed for undergraduate students who are currently enrolled in a co‑op program through their college or university and can meet our requirements.
JOBSUMMARY
Supports the Director of Corporate Citizenship and the team in the implementation and management of the company's community engagement strategy and action plan. In addition, this position may provide support on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives, along with other cross‑departmental projects and tasks.
WHAT YOU WILL DO- Assist in the creation and documentation of process and procedures that help support the Corp. Citizenship Team
- Help manage and update the Corp. Citizenship Resource Page on SharePoint. Ensuring content stays relevant and timely.
- Coordinate logistics for volunteer events (including Global Week of Giving Back and Co‑op Volunteer Day), galas and charitable drives.
- Work with MFS design and communications teams to produce ads and communication for events and opportunities.
- Perform research on charitable organizations as needed.
- Assist with the creation of presentations and maintenance of documentation related to MFS' Corporate Citizenship program.
- Pursuing a degree in Business, Corporate Social Responsibility, Public Policy, Communications, Marketing or related field
- Ability to interact with senior executives and community leaders on the company's corporate citizenship strategy
- Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with an ability to interact in a professional manner with internal and external stakeholders
- Familiarity with corporate citizenship programs, community organizations, and nonprofits groups
- Commitment to learning, creativity and critical thinking
- Ability to handle multiple projects, and deadlines
- Passion and experience either as a volunteer or supporter of charitable causes
- Proficiency with Microsoft’s Excel, Power Point, Outlook
Hourly Pay Rate: $21.00-$25.00
