Part-Time Assistant Teacher

The Longwood Medical Area Child Care Center (LMACCC) is looking for a caring and enthusiastic Part-Time Assistant Teacher to join our amazing team! In this role, you’ll gain hands‑on experience, support lead teachers, and help foster a positive space where children can learn and grow.

• Gain valuable hands‑on experience by assisting classroom teachers as needed
• Work a flexible, on‑call and as‑needed schedule (most needed hours: 7:30–10 AM, 8–10 AM, Mid Day, & 4-6 PM)
• Help create a warm, welcoming, and safe environment that supports children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development
• Assist in planning and implementing engaging daily activities and curriculum
• Build positive relationships with children, parents, and fellow educators
• Participate in fun center‑wide activities (like Pajama Day!) to help create a joyful, connected community

• At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED (Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required)
• Experience working with children in child care, daycare, or preschool settings
• Strong teamwork skills and a flexible, positive attitude

• Warm, reliable, and encouraging personality
• Eager to learn and open to new ideas and teaching approaches
• Strong communication skills and the ability to multi‑task effectively
• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors, lift at least 35 lbs, participate in physical activities, and always maintain full supervision of children
