Program / Project Manager, Operations Manager, Contracts Manager, EHS / HSE Manager
Supervise total construction efforts to ensure project is constructed in accordance with safety regulations, design, budget and schedule while having responsibility for providing on-site operations/production management, as well as supervision of local trade groups. Reports To General superintendent or Project Manager.
Location: Boston Sites or any job site in USA
Activities and Responsibilities- Supervise total construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with all current safety regulations, design, budget and schedule.
- Supervise craft employees and/or other contractors as required by the contract.
- Provide technical assistance (e.g. interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methods and equipment, etc.) as required.
- Assist project management in developing and implementing project procedures, working documents, standards, etc.
- Ensure all onsite personnel comply with project procedures, safety program requirements, work rules, etc., documenting all violations and notifying project management.
- Assume responsibility for productivity of crafts, efficient use of materials and equipment, and contractual performance of the project.
- Assist in resolving construction problems as required.
- Assist in maintaining communications with unions, resolving jurisdictional disputes, requisitioning required manpower, etc., as necessary.
- Fully support EHS and Quality policies and regulations, ensuring that all Company and OSHA safety regulations are met and enforced.
- Perform additional assignments per the Project Manager’s direction.
- 4-year engineering degree, or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or experience.
- Minimum 8 years supervisory experience in deep foundations projects and/or heavy construction. Grouting experience is a plus.
- Advanced understanding of construction scheduling, cost control and ability to control and supervise large groups.
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction Training and First-Aid/CPR Certification.
- Knowledge of construction industry business practices.
- Strong interpersonal skills including excellent verbal/written communication
- Strong problem solving, analytical and organizational skills.
- Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, methods).
- Excellent communication, organizational and supervisory skills
