Construction Inspector

Job Description

Kleinfelder's Construction Services team is seeking a Construction Inspector to work in Boston, MA. The role involves working with urban infrastructure, primarily water and sewer pipeline and rehabilitation, and includes documentation of contractor operations.

Responsibilities:

• Working knowledge of principles and practices of Civil Engineering and Construction Methods, Materials and Equipment.
• Interpreting plans and specifications to prepare, present, evaluate, monitor, and maintain project records and documentation.
• Following federal and state regulations, client requirements, contracts, and company policies including safety, ADA, environmental regulations.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, architecture, or related field.
• 4-10 years of related experience in construction inspection or oversight focused on utility work – primarily water and sewer pipeline and rehabilitation.
• Comprehensive knowledge of drawings, plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• Valid state driver’s license.
• Ability to work under unfavorable weather conditions year‑round and traverse rough, steep terrain.

Salary range: $63,000 - $105,000. The final compensation will be based on qualifications and experience.
