The Construction Superintendent is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Boston, MA, responsible for overseeing day‑to‑day field operations on residential remodeling and renovation projects. This role coordinates and supervises subcontractors, trades, and site staff to ensure work is completed on schedule, within budget, and to company quality standards. Daily responsibilities include managing site logistics, tracking progress, enforcing safety protocols, conducting inspections, and resolving field issues in real time.
The Construction Superintendent works closely with project managers, designers, and clients to review plans, schedule work, manage change orders, and communicate project status. This position also involves maintaining accurate site documentation, ensuring code compliance, and representing ReModern’s commitment to craftsmanship and professionalism on every job site.
- Strong construction site management skills, including daily supervision of trades, coordination of site activities, and enforcement of quality standards.
- Demonstrated commitment to construction safety, including knowledge of OSHA regulations, job site safety planning, and proactive risk mitigation.
- Effective organization skills to manage schedules, documentation, materials, and multiple tasks in a fast‑paced field environment.
- Experience with budgeting and cost control, including tracking labor and materials, reviewing change orders, and supporting financial reporting.
- Proficiency in project management, including scheduling, sequencing work, coordinating with stakeholders, and meeting project milestones.
- Previous experience as a superintendent or similar field leadership role in residential construction or remodeling.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and building codes.
- Clear, professional communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, designers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Comfort with construction technology tools (project management software, digital plans, email, and mobile apps).
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites in the greater Boston area as required.
