Under direct supervision, performs construction inspections of basic to moderate complexity. Evaluates the condition of the structure, documents deterioration, structural condition, and any needed sampling. Documents deficiencies between design and execution of construction and provides reports to project leadership upon discovery of deficiencies or issues with construction work.

• Perform construction inspections and evaluate the condition of structures.
• Document deterioration, structural condition, and required sampling.
• Identify deficiencies between design and execution and report them to project leadership.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections and findings.

• High School diploma, Vocational Technical degree, or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required (travel frequency contingent on duties).
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

• Effective verbal and written communication in English.
• Basic knowledge of arithmetic and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Able to adapt to new technologies and learn new computer, smartphone, or related applications quickly.
• Basic knowledge of materials, methods, and equipment used in construction.
• Ability to read, understand, interpret, and explain construction plans, drawings, contract provisions, and specifications.

Pay Range: $34.42 - $55.07 per hour. All bonuses at CDM Smith are discretionary and may or may not apply to this position.
